Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Arthur Zwane travelled to Morocco on Wednesday evening knowing very well what to expect from their opponents Wydad Athletic Club.
Amakhosi meet the Moroccan giants in a CAF Champions League semi-final first leg match at Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca on Saturday (21h00).
“We are well prepared. We are looking forward to the game. We know it’s not gonna be an easy game,” Zwane said.
“We are prepared to take the game to them and be cautious at the same time in terms of making sure that we don’t concede goals. We will be happy if we score one or two goals.”
Chiefs come up against Wydad, who have not lost in more than 10 outings. And this is why Zwane wants his boys to be cautious during the game.
“The opponents are very, very competitive and we are aware of that. They also have their weaknesses and strenghts,” he said.
“We will try to focus on their weaknesses. We will try and control their strengths. We know that they are very good at playing balls behind if you create space for them.”
Zwane and Dillon Sheppard are going to be in charge during the match as Stuart Baxter, who travelled with the team to Morocco, is still sorting out his papers.
