Chippa United will remain in KwaZulu-Natal until after their PSL promotion/relegation play-off match against Richards Bay FC.
This was confirmed by Chilli Boys head of administration Wandisile Mbenguzana on Thursday.
The Chilli Boys face the Natal Rich Boyz in their third play-off match at the Umhlathuze Sports Complex in Richards Bay on Saturday (15h00). Coach Lehlohonolo Seema’s boys beat the Natal Rich Boyz 2-1 in Gqeberha last Saturday.
The Gqeberha-based Chilli Boys had a walkover on Tuesday after Royal AM failed to pitch for their play-off clash at the Chatsworth Stadium in Durban.
An hour or so before kick-off, a Royal AM bus with players and officials arrived at the stadium only to leave the venue shortly.
Royal AM bosses are still angry after their court bid to interdict the play-offs failed. They are still fighting against Sekhukhune United’s automatic promotion from the GladAfrica Championship to the Premier Division.
Arbitrator Hilton Epstein awarded Sekhukhune United three points after Polokwane City had failed to have five Under-23 South African players in their match day squad earlier this year.
