Xolisani ‘Nomeva’ Ndongeni stopped Zimbabwean boxer Peter ‘Sniper’ Pambeni at the DOCC in Orlando East, Soweto, on Saturday afternoon.
Ndongeni stopped Pambeni in the third round to win the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) Pan-African junior-welterweight title.
Meanwhile, Matshidiso Mokebisi scored a fifth round technical knockout win over Bonita van Jaarsveldt in a female lightweight bout, which was scheduled for six rounds.
