Former general manager of the National Professional Soccer League (NPSL) and National Soccer League (NSL) Cyril Kobus has died.
Kobus passed away in Johannesburg on Sunday morning aged 79. He was hospitalised following a cardiac arrest.
Kobus was part of the group, which broke away from the NPSL to form the NSL at the beginning of 1985.
Kobus together with former NSL public relations officer, the late Abdul Bhamjee, were imprisoned for fraud more than 30 years ago.
