Gauteng-based boxing trainers Colin Nathan and Harry Ramogoadi-Manaka have smoked the proverbial peace pipe after years of a cold war between the two.
The two trainers fell out of favour with each other after Free State boxer Lerato Dlamini bolted out of Ramogoadi-Manaka’s stable to join Nathan’s Hot Box Gym in 2015.
However, the trainers have since kissed and made up for boxing’s sake.
“If I were a heartless man, I would not worry about fixing broken relationships. Some relationships are worth fixing. I had such a great meeting with Harry Ramogoadi-Manaka,” Nathan said on Facebook.
“Harry and I go way back. In fact, he used to be my fighter way back in 2002 and 2003 before going on to carry on with his boxing career in the UK. He is currently doing a fine job in South Africa as a manager and a trainer.”
Ramogoadi-Manaka, who owns VIP Boxing Academy in Benoni, confirmed that he met with Nathan on Friday.
