Colin ‘Nomakanjani’ Nathan is working on getting a date for a fight between his boxer Abdul-Aziz Kunert and Asanda Gingqi.
Nathan trains Kunert in Johannesburg while Gingqi is trained by Spokes Witbooi in East London. The two boxers are going to fight for the vacant South African featherweight title.
“I need to sort this out with BSA. I will be on discussion next week with them,” Nathan said.
“It’s now a matter of finding a promoter. I’m keen to have this fight. It doesn’t matter where it’s gonna be held.”
Both Cape Town-born Kunert and Gingqi from Mdantsane are unbeaten with the Capetonian having won all his 10 fights and two of them are stoppages. Gingqi, on the other hand, stopped five of his six victims.
