Former world and South African female bantamweight champion Bukiwe ‘Anaconda’ Nonina is fighting a very dangerous and invisible foe.
And by the look of things, Nonina from Dutywa is winning the championship rounds against the dreaded COVID-19.
“For now I am still recovering after I tested positive for COVID-19,” the former World Boxing Federation (WBF) female bantamweight champion said on Friday.
The 2016 and 2017 Female Boxer of the Year award winner, who is based in Gauteng, revealed that she started to get sick on Thursday last week after testing positive for COVID-19 three days earlier.
