Thema Zuma is sick and tired of losing to the same boxer now and again.
Zuma has lost to Simangele Hadebe twice already and they are meeting again in Pretoria on Saturday.
And Zuma wants things to change as she plans to go all out to ensure that she wins when they fight for the vacant South African female flyweight title, which was vacated by Noxolo Makhanavu last month.
Zuma and Hadebe will be facing each other for the third time with their most recent fight being held last month. Hadebe outpointed Zuma during the fight, which was held at the Booysens Boxing Gym in Johannesburg.
“This is a title fight and we have to face each other again,” the 28-year-old Zuma remarked.
Port Shepstone-born Zuma has vowed that she is not going to suffer a third straight loss to Hadebe.
“Yes, she beat me twice, I agree. But I don’t think she will beat me again,” she said.
“Truth be told, it doesn’t feel right to fight against Simangele all the time. But I’ve got no choice because we don’t get many fights as female boxers and opponents are few.”
