Challenger Siseko Makeleni’s confidence is serving as a motivating factor to current South African junior-welterweight champion Prince Dlomo.
The 32-year-old Dlomo faces Makeleni in his first defence of the SA title he won when he dethroned former champion Xolani ‘Tiger’ Mcotheli in March. The shootout is going to be held at the Booysens Boxing Gym in Johannesburg on Sunday, 26 September.
“I can safely say that we are done preparing for this fight. I’m ready for Makeleni,” Dlomo said.
“I’m very happy that l’m going to fight against a confident boxer like Makeleni. I feel motivated. His confidence means that he has worked very hard and we are going to give people a good boxing bout.”
Dlomo is so focused on this fight in so much that he thinks about Makeleni all the time.
“I want to get this over and done with. I think about Makeleni all the time and there are times when I dream about beating him,” Dlomo said.
