Mamelodi Sundowns defender Rushine de Reuck is looking forward to yet another clean sheet as the Brazilians face Swallows FC in a DStv Premiership match at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Sunday (17h30).

The Tshwane giants have done incredibly well in their first five matches of the season. Their defence is yet to be breached.

“I think Swallows are very difficult to play against. We know it’s not gonna be an easy game,” the former Maritzburg United defender said.

“It’s going to be important for us to try and break them down. If we apply ourselves well during the game I know we will be able to do that.”

Cape Town-born De Reuck is happy to play a part in the strong Sundowns defence.

“We’re proud of ourselves as the defence. Everyone has a good relationship off the field, that’s what helps us on the field. We know that if we keep clean sheets, chances of us winning are very, very high. We need to continue working. It’s not only the defenders and the goalkeeper who are defending, it’s everyone,” Reuck said.

The Brazilians go to this match following a 2-0 win over Orlando Pirates last Saturday while the Dube Birds were humiliated 4-0 by Cape Town City in an MTN8 semi-final clash on Wednesday.
