Kaizer Chiefs have sent their condolences to the family of the late Lucky Maselesele.
The 41-year-old Maselesele, a product of the School of Excellence, was stoned to death on Wednesday after he was accused of stealing electrical cables.
“Kaizer Chiefs is saddened by the news of the passing of one of South Africa’s talented footballers Lucky Maselesele. We convey our heartfelt condolences to the Maselesele family during this difficult time,” a state from Chiefs said.
Alexandra-born Maselesele played 44 matches for Amakhosi and scored 11 goals.
