FIFA has confirmed that it is going to investigate a complaint lodged by the South African Football Association (SAFA) following Bafana Bafana’s 1-0 loss to Ghana on Sunday evening.
The Black Stars won the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier through a penalty, which was scored by their captain Andre Ayew.
As a result of the win, the Black Stars reached the final round of qualifiers.
SAFA lodged a complaint on the manner in which referee Maguette Ndiaye from Senegal and his assistants handled the match.
Meanwhile, SAFA has called a press conference where the association will give an update on its complaint.
The press conference is going to be held at SAFA House at noon on Wednesday.
