Boxers Moyisi Booi, Siseko Teyise and Tiisetso Matikinca lived up to their billing at the Region V Games Maseru 2020 in Lesotho.
As expected, Booi (flyweight), Teyise (minimumweight) and Matikinca (bantamweight) won gold in their respective divisions in Maseru on Wednesday.
Booi bagged gold after he defeated Mwengo Mwale from Zambia with Teyise winning over Zambian Sisongo Mathews and Matikinca stopped Bafo Dlala from eSwatini.
Female boxers Lindokuhle Khuzwayo and Zesande Mbatha also won gold. Khuzwayo beat Conde Luemba from Angola and Mbatha defeated Namibian Onesmus Martine.
Meanwhile, Likho Nxele won silver after she lost to Zambian Merody Ngona while Luyolo Nketshe also bagged a silver medal following a loss to Mary Mhango from Zambia.
