Chippa United caretaker coach Kurt Lentjies is hoping to use the same approach as the one they employed during their 2-2 draw with AmaZulu on Tuesday when they face Maritzburg United in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Sunday evening.
The Chilli Boys, who are 15th on the log, are desperate for points as they want to move up the Premiership standings
“What we have been doing has been working for us. The players are comfortable doing it. Two draws in a row is not what we wanted,” Lentjies said.
“Now playing Maritzburg is an opportunity to jump in the league, to move up a place or two, that’s what we are planning to do. It was the first time we scored two goals away from home, which is a big compliment to the guys. Obviously, playing at Harry Gwala Stadium we look to do the same.”
The Gqeberha-based Chilli Boys raced to a 2-0 lead only to squander it in the second half and allowed Usuthu to come back for a draw.
