Female boxer Matshidiso Mokebisi from Kroonstad in the Free State and Gqeberha-based Nozipho Bell will finally meet after their fight was postponed a number of times.
The two lasses are going to square up in an International Boxing Federation (IBF) Intercontinental female junior-lightweight title fight at the Nangoza Jebe Hall in New Brighton, Gqeberha, on Sunday afternoon.
Mokebisi go to Sunday’s fight following her stoppage win over Bonita van Jaarsveldt at the Donaldson Community Centre in Orlando East, Soweto, in June, while Bell last fought when she defeated Ntombokuqala Tolashe to win the then vacant South African junior-lightweight title at Sunday’s fight venue in July.
The tournament, which is brought by the Nelson Mandela Bay Promoters Association in association with the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro, will have two amateur bouts.
