Lusanda ‘Mexican’ Komanisi lived up to his pre-fight predictions and stopped Kabelo Bikitsha at the Orient Theatre in East London on Saturday evening.
Komanisi stopped Bikitsha in the seventh round to win the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) Pan-African lightweight title. Mdantsane-born Komanisi has now won his last four fights with stoppages.
Meanwhile, Komanisi has stretched his record to 25 victories with 22 knockouts and six defeats while Bikitsha from Kagiso dropped to five wins (four stoppages) and four losses.
