Boxing champion Juan Roux has revealed that he has achieved the first two steps in his grand plan to rule the world heavyweight division.
Roux’s plans included winning his debut fight and bagging the South African heavyweight title something which he achieved when he dethroned Tian Fick in Cape Town on Saturday.
“This is part of my grand plan in boxing. I planned to do well in my first fight, then go on to win the SA title with the third step being to win a world title. The fourth step is to become the first heavyweight boxer from South Africa to win more than one world title,” Roux said.
Roux defeated Fick just two weeks after he had beaten Wilhelm Nebe in Kempton Park. He only had a four-day notice for the Fick fight.
“I’m feeling good, I’m feeling very positive,” the 24-year-old champion from Cape Town said.
Roux, who is trained by Michael Mouneimne, has won all his six fights with two of them ending in stoppages.
