Al Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane has won his third CAF Super Cup trophy after he led the Red Devils to a 6-5 penalties win over Moroccan side Raja Casablanca at the Ahmed bin Ali Stadium in Doha, Qatar, on Wednesday evening.

The Moroccans led for the better part of the match through Yasser Ibrahim’s own goal, which was cancelled by Taher Mohamed in the dying minutes of the game.

The match went straight to spot kicks after 90 minutes and the Red Devils netted all their six penalties while the Moroccans missed once. This was the reigning CAF Champions League winners’ eighth Super Cup trophy.

Meanwhile, Mosimane has won two CAF Super Cup trophies with the Egyptian giants and one with Mamelodi Sundowns.

Mosimane became the first Al Ahly coach to win successive Champions League and Super Cup trophies since Manuel Jose in 2007.
