SuperSport United beat Cape Town City 3-2 in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville on Wednesday evening. 

Gamphani Lungu put Matsatsantsa a Pitori ahead when he beat Hugo Marques in the ninth minute from an Onesimor Bhasera pass.  

Teboho Mokoena made it 2-0 in the 28th minute from a superb free kick after a foul on Jamie Webber by Taariq Fielies. 

Three minutes into the second half, Fagrie Lakay pulled one back for the Citizens. 

Seven minutes later, the Citizens were reduced to 10 men after match referee Victor Gomes red carded Thabo Nodada. 

The Capetonians equalised in the 73rd minute after Kegan Johannes scored an own goal. In a bid to clear Terence Mashego’s header, Johannes headed in past Ronwen Williams. 

Johannes made amends when he scored Matsatsantsa’s winning goal in the 81st minute.
