Morocco fought hard and ended up beating Ghana’s Black Stars 1-0 in an Africa Cup of Nations opening match at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Cameroon on Monday evening.
It looked like the match was going to be a goalless draw until Sofiane Boufau popped in and scored Morocco’s winning goal in the 83rd minute.
Meanwhile, Guinea defeated Malawi 1-0 through an Issiaga Sylla goal in another first round match played on Monday.
