The disciplinary committee of the Premier Soccer League (PSL) has slapped Cape Town City midfielder Mpho Makola with a two months ban.

This comes after Makola was hauled before the DC following his manhandling of assistant referee Cladwin Baloyi during their MTN8 final penalty shootout loss to Mamelodi Sundowns in October last year.

Makola is a serial offender as he was found guilty of manhandling referee Abongile Tom in 2019 following a loss to Kaizer Chiefs in a Telkom Knockout match.

The 35-year-old Makola was initially banned for six months, but the ban was reduced to four matches after he appealed.
