Banyana Banyana have lined up an international friendly match against Zambia, which they are going to use to prepare for their clash with Algeria next month.
Coach Desiree Ellis’ team face Zambia in Lusaka on Saturday, 12 February. That’s six days before they host Algeria at home before travelling to North Africa for the second leg of the African Women’s Cup of Nations qualifier scheduled for Wednesday, 23 February.
“We have decided to call up local players for the first round of camp to ensure that our database continues to grow and that any new selected players find their rhythm now. This is to give new players the know how in case they are needed in subsequent matches,” Ellis said.
Ellis and her Banyana Banyana team are set to go to camp on Friday before leaving for Zambia.
