Senegal cruised to the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon after they beat Equitorial Guinea 3-1 at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde on Sunday evening. 

Alanyaspor striker Famara Diedhou broke the deadlock and gave the Teranga Lions the lead in the 28th minute following a pass from Sadio Mane. The Senegalese led 1-0 at half-time. 

The National Thunder replied through Gimnastic Tarragona midfielder Jannick Buyla three minutes from the hour mark. 

Second half substitute Cheikhou Kouyate, who had only been on the field for three minutes, restored Senegal’s lead in the 68th minute. 

And nine minutes later, another second half substitute Ismaila Sarr made it 3-1 to ensure that the Teranga Lions cruised to victory.
