A tournament where South African middleweight champion Nkululeko ‘Bulldog’ Mhlongo was due to defend his title against Snamiso Ntuli has been postponed.
The fight card, which was scheduled for the Victoria Mxenge Indoor Sports Centre in Umlazi, Durban, on Sunday, 27 February, has now been rescheduled for 30 April.
“I would like to formally inform you on the postponement of the Starline tournament scheduled for the 27th February,” Starline Promotions boss Zah Malinga said.
“My heart goes out to the boxers who prepare themselves tirelessly for the day. I’m so sorry for the inconvenience, but I’m sure April will be bigger and better.”
Mhlongo, a reigning World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Africa middleweight titlist, was scheduled to make his first defence of the SA title he won when he dethroned Walter Dlamini in 2019.
