Banyana Banyana were drawn in the same group with Nigeria’s Super Falcons in the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations tournament, which is going to be played in Morocco from 2-23 July this year.
Banyana were drawn in Group C together with defending champions Nigeria, who beat them in the final in the previous tournament, Botswana and Burundi during a draw held in Rabat, Morocco, on Friday evening.
Hosts Morrocco, who are in Group A, open the tournament with a clash against Burkina Faso on 2 July. Senegal and Uganda are the other two teams in Group A.
On the other hand, Banyana will face the Nigerian Super Falcons in their opening match on 4 July. Three days later, Banyana clash with Burundi before they wrap up the group stages with a match against Botswana on 10 July.
Meanwhile, Cameroon, Zambia, Tunisia and Togo are going to play in Group B.
