Ludumo ‘9mm’ Lamati will return to action when he clashes with Haidari Mchanjo from Tanzania at the Booysens Boxing Gym in Johannesburg on Sunday, 22 May.

Lamati, the current International Boxing Organisation (IBO) junior-featherweight champion, faces the Tanzanian in a 10-round non-title bout.

The 29-year-old Lamati has not fought since he defeated Mexican boxer Jose Martin Estrada Garcia at the Emperor’s Palace in Kempton Park in June last year. That was a fight as both boxers blasted each other with heavy blows and Lamati ended up winning the IBO belt.

Mchanjo, on the other hand, has already fought twice this year defeating his compatriots Baina Mazola last month and Suma Ninja in March.
