The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has penalised Tanzanian side Simba SC for performing ‘hazardous rituals’ before their match against Orlando Pirates last month.
Simba, who lit a fire in the middle of the Orlando Stadium pitch, were fined $10 000 dollars (R162k) on Monday. Handing down its judgement, CAF ordered Simba to make a payment within two months.
