After failing to reclaim the South African junior-welterweight title from Prince Dlomo in May, Xolani ‘Tiger’ Mcotheli is now going to fight in Kazakhstan on Wednesday, 20 July.

Mcotheli, who leaves for Kazakhstan on Friday next week, is set to face off with Kazakh Ray Seitzhanov in an eight rounds fight at the Baluan Scholak Sport Palace in Alma City.

Seitzhanov from Aktobe in Kazakhstan is unbeaten in 10 fights having stopped six of his opponents.

Meanwhile, Mcotheli from the Eastern Cape is not the only South African boxer who is going to fight in the Kazakhstan bill.

Former national junior-middleweight champion Simon Dladla faces Tursynbay Kulakhmet from Kazakhstan in a 10 rounds bout.

This is going to be Dladla’s first fight since he was dethroned by Shervantaigh Koopman at the Emperors Palace in Kempton Park in September last year.

Initially, the Kazakhstan tournament was scheduled for this coming Saturday.
