After stopping Filipino boxer Ben Mananquil at the East London International Convention Centre (ICC) on Friday evening, Phumelela ‘Truth’ Cafu has declared that he wants to go toe-to-toe with Jackson Chauke, again.
Cafu and Chauke drew when they met for the Tembisa-based South African flyweight champion’s title in East London four months ago.
Duncan Village’s Cafu won the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) Intercontinental junior-bantamweight title after stopping Mananquil in the fifth round.
“Chauke has called me out and he wants us to fight at junior-bantamweight. I have unfinished business with him, I have a score to settle with him. I’m going to kill him this time,” the 24-year-old Cafu said.
Back to the Mananquil fight, Cafu said that he was still looking forward to punishing the Filipino when the fight ended.
“Ben disappointed me. I thought he was a hard puncher only to discover that I was more powerful than him. I knew the knockout wrs gonna come, but it came too early. I was still enjoying myself,” Cafu remarked.
