Royal AM are through to the final of the KZN Premier’s Cup after they beat Uthongathi FC 4-2 on penalties at the Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg on Sunday morning.
The match went into penalties after it had ended in a 2-2 draw in regulation time. Elias Pelembe and Andre de Jong netted for Thwihli Thwahla while the Cane Cutters’ goals came from Menzi Chili and Ferdinand Nkwuda in 90 minutes.
Thwihli Thwahla are now going to play against the winner between AmaZulu and Lamontville Golden Arrows. The Usuthu-Abafana Bes’thende semi-final match starts at noon.
