Bafana Bafana might have moved to the next round of the CHAN qualifiers, but their coach Helman Mkhalele is unhappy with how they played against Comoros at the Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto on Saturday afternoon.

Bafana put up an uninspiring performance as they were held to a goalless draw by the Islanders. Bafana moved to next round of qualifiers courtesy of a 1-0 goal aggregate. Mkhalele’s boys defeated their opponents 1-0 in the first leg played away in Comoros last weekend.

“I would say this was a total different game. I thought in the second game we were going to play better and dominate. We didn’t do that, especially playing at home. The players were flat. They looked totally different. In the first leg we played much better,” Mkhalele said.

Bafana are chasing their third appearance in the CHAN tournament having appeared twice – in 2011 and 2014.

Meanwhile, the next CHAN tournament is going to be held in Algeria in January.
