East London boxing trainer Khangelani Jack and two-time South African champion Siphamandla ‘Toytoy’ Baleni are back working together again.

Former world title contender Baleni from Mthatha is an erstwhile South African minimumweight and junior-flyweight champion.

Jack and Baleni stopped working together after the trainer left Xaba Boxing Club taking along Nhlanhla Tyirha, Zolisa Batyi and Asanda Gingqi in June last year.

Eastern Cape featherweight champion Sange Ngoza from Mthatha has also bolted out of Xaba Boxing Club where he was trained by former SA junior-bantamweight champion Miniyakhe Sityata and has reunited with Jack.

“Siphamandla Baleni and Sange Ngoza are back training with me,” the 33-year-old Jack remarked.

Baleni said on Saturday morning: “We have been working together for two days now. I’m happy that we are back together. He understands me very well.”

Already, Ngoza has secured a six rounds bout against former national title contender Sithembiso Maduna on Saturday, 18 March.

SA featherweight champion Batyi is also scheduled to fight in the same tournament where Ngoza will face Maduna. Batyi is going to clash against Namibian Mateus Heita in a World Boxing Association (WBA) Intercontinental featherweight bout.
