Orlando Pirates added to struggling Marumo Gallants’ troubles as they beat them 2-0 in a DStv Premiership clash at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace in Phokeng, Rustenburg, on Saturday evening.
The Buccaneers took the lead when Monnapule Saleng latched on to a Terrence Dzvukamanja cross to beat Gallants goalkeeper Ismail Watenga in the 36th minute.
Ndabayithetha Ndlondlo made it 2-0 from the penalty spot in the 68th minute. The penalty came after Mahlatsi Makudubela had pushed Bandile Shandu inside the box.
Meanwhile, troubled Swallows FC and SuperSport United played to a goalless draw in an earlier match held at the Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto.
