Kaizer Chiefs were held to a 1-1 draw by struggling Marumo Gallants in a DStv Premiership clash at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec, Johannesburg, on Saturday evening.
Amakhosi started the match like a house on fire and went ahead with Ashley du Preez’s goal in the sixth minute. Du Preez dashed towards goals to score his fifth goal of the season after he received a pass from Yusuf Maart.
Chiefs continued to attack in search of a second goal, but it was Gallants who netted through Ranga Chivaviro in the 36yh minute. Chivaviro, who scored his sixth goal of the season, capitalised on Edmilson Dove’s blunder as he beat Amakhosi goalminder Brandon Petersen.
