It was all square as Maritzburg United drew 1-1 with Richards Bay FC in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg on Friday evening.
After absorbing pressure from numerous Team of Choice attacks, the Natal Rich Boyz broke the deadlock through Sanele Barns in 38th minute. Barns, formerly with the University of Pretoria, beat Team of Choice goalkeeper King Ndlovu from outside the box following a counter attack.
The Team of Choice didn’t give up despite trailing by an odd goal and they duly equalised when Genino Palace headed past Natal Rich Boyz goalkeeper Salim Magoola in referee’s added time.
