Veteran SuperSport United defender and former Bafana Bafana captain Thulani ‘Tyson’ Hlatshwayo won the Player of the Season award at the club’s end of season function on Monday evening.
The former Orlando Pirates, Bidvest Wits and Ajax Cape Town defender was a key figure at Matsatsantsa a Pitori this past season. Hlatshwayo, who will celebrate his 34th birthday in December, was instrumental in ensuring that Matsatsantsa finished in third position and qualified for next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
