Western Cape side Young Bafana Soccer Academy were the first team to be eliminated at the ABC Motsepe League national play-offs underway at the Harry GWALA stadium in Pietermaritzburg.
This followed after Young Bafana received a 3-0 hiding from Upington City on Wednesday afternoon. This was Young Bafana’s second loss in two days as they were beaten 2-1 by Amavarara FC on Monday.
The Northern Cape champions’ goals came from Willie Nel’s brace and a strike from Daweron van Rhyn.
