A ruthless Japan demolished Zambia’s Copper Queens crushing them 5-0 in a 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup encounter at the Waikato Stadium in Hamilton on Saturday.
Hinata Miyazawa netted twice with the other goals coming from Mina Tanaka, Jun Endo and Riko Ueki to give the 2011 champions a great start to the tournament.
This was definitely a wake up call for the Copper Queens, who are playing in their first World Cup tournament.
