Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing confirmed on Monday that Sivenathi ‘Special One’ Nontshinga from East London will defend his International Boxing Federation (IBF) junior-flyweight title against Mexican opponent Adrian Curiel Dominguez in November.
Nontshinga, who successfully defended his title with a win over Filipino boxer Regie ‘Filipino Phenom’ Suganob in East London two months ago, will be making a voluntary defence against the Mexican at the Casino de Monte Carlo in Monte Carlo, Monaco, on Saturday, 4 November.
The 24-year-old Dominguez has a professional record of 22 wins (three stoppages), four defeats and a draw.
Nontshinga’s fight against Dominguez is going to be the co-main event together with Joe Cordina’s clash against Edward Vasquez from the United States.
Cordina from Cardiff, Wales, will be making the second defence of the IBF junior-lightweight crown he won after he stopped Japanese boxer Kenichi Ogawa in June last year. Cordina outpointed Tajik Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov in his first defence five months ago.
