Hekkie ‘Hexecutioner’ Budler fully understands the ernomous task ahead of him thus he’s looking forward to a hard fight when he clashes with Japanese boxer Kenshiro ‘The Amazing Boy’ Teraji on Monday next week.
Budler challenges the reigning World Boxing Council (WBC) and World Boxing Association (WBA) ‘Super’ junior-flyweight champion at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.
“This is a very hard fight. Fighting the number one guy in the division. Fighting in his own country,” Budler, who’s preparing for this fight at the Teiken Gym in Tokyo, remarked.
“It’s gonna be an exceptionally hard fight. He’s a very good fighter. I’m gonna try everything I can to be on my best and beat him. I believe I can beat him, that’s why we’re taking this fight because we can win it. I’m fit and ready.”
Not only will the WBC and WBA titles be at stake during this bout, the two opponents are going to battle it out for the Ring Magazine belt as well.
Meanwhile, the 35-year-old Budler was successful the first and the last time he visited Japan more than three years ago.
He defeated Japanese boxer Ryoichi Taguchi by a unanimous decision to win the International Boxing Federation (IBF) and WBA ‘Super’ junior-flyweight titles as well as the Ring Magazine belt at the Ota-City General Gymnasium in Tokyo in May 2018.
“I love fighting in Japan. The last time I fought in Japan I won three world titles. God willing, I can do it again this time,” Budler said.
