Hard-hitting South African female boxer Hedda ‘The Shredder’ Wolmarans returns to Box Camp Booysens, Johannesburg, for a date with experienced Happy Daudi Mwagike.
This international junior-welterweight bout between the 34-year-old Wolmarans and Daudi from Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania, is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 21 October.
Wolmarans stopped Zimbabwean opponent Monalisa Sibanda in the third round when they fought at the same Booysens venue exactly five months ago.
With a professional record of five stoppages in eight wins, Wolmarans faces Daudi, who has 14 victories (eight knockouts), 13 losses and a draw.
The 36-year-old Daudi has won five and lost the same number of bouts in his last 10 fights. Her most recent wins were stoppages against her compatriots Nadia Fredy and Bertha Steven.
Daudi has engaged in a 10 rounds bout once when she lost by a fifth round technical knockout stoppage to Firuza Sharipova from Kazakhstan in Kazan, Russia, in August 2020.
