Banyana Banyana have moved to the next round of the 2024 Olympic qualifiers after they defeated the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) 3-1 on aggregate.
Banyana overcame the Congolese 2-0 in a second leg match played at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Monday afternoon.
Following a goalless first half, Banyana Banyana took the lead through Thembi Kgatlana from Nicole Michael’s assist in the 71st minute.
Kgatlana netted her second goal of the match from yet another Michael assist two minutes from full-time.
