Thato ‘Captain Charisma’ Bonokoane travels to Windhoek, Namibia, on Wednesday where he will fight against Namibian boxer Fillipus ‘Energy’ Nghitumbwa.

The two fighters are set to clash against each other in a World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Africa junior-featherweight title contest in Windhoek on Saturday.

“We are going to leave for Namibia on Wednesday. It’s gonna be me, Thato and the assistant coach,” Bonokoane’s trainer Charrit Mukondeleli said.

This is going to be Bonokoane’s first fight since he defeated Argentine boxer Diego Alberto Ruiz in a World Boxing Federation (WBF) junior-featherweight title contest at the Feathermarket Theatre in Gqeberha last October.

On the other hand, Nghitumbwa’s last fight was a loss to Filipino boxer Johnriel Casimero in a WBO Global junior-featherweight title shootout in the Philippines in May this year.

The 33-year-old Bonokoane is the second South African boxer to face off against Nghitumbwa, 28, in just over a year. Nghitumbwa stopped Sabelo Ngebiyana in the 11th round in October last year.
