Youthful sport administrator Luxolo September has made it into the new board of Boxing South Africa (BSA), Ink Sport can reveal.
September from Ngqamakhwe is going to be one of the BSA board members, who are set to be announced by Minister of Sport Zizi Kodwa in Hatfield, Pretoria, on Tuesday morning.
Currently, September, a Walter Sisulu University (WSU) and Wits University graduate, is working as the head of TV commercials at the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in Cairo, Egypt.
With a strong commercial and media rights background, September heads Africa’s biggest sport rights. He has worked for world football governing body FIFA and was a senior manager in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) before moving to CAF three years ago.
September spent almost 10 years at the PSL managing its relationship with pay TV SuperSport after having worked at FIFA when he was only 23.
He has since worked at the last four FIFA World Cup tournaments where he was in charge of media sales.
