Thami ‘Bhubesi’ Luthuli roared to victory as he defeated Sphelele Myeza on points in a vacant KwaZulu-Natal mini-flyweight title fight at the KwaMashu Indoor Sport Centre, Durban, on Sunday.

Stanger-born Ayanda Mthembu waited until the last round before registering an eighth round stoppage victory over Eric Misambudzi from Zimbabwe in the main supporting bout.
On the other hand, Nobengazi Booth from Mooi River stopped Zimbabwean Emily Kubwalo in the third round of a scheduled four rounds female middleweight clash while Umlazi-born Sechaba Zuma won via a fourth technical knockout over Celimpilo Ngema from Ulundi.
Meanwhile, Xolani Mbatha from Ladysmith defeated KwaMashu’s Thobani Mhlungu by a third round technical knockout.
