Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has insisted that his boys are going to be engaged in tough international friendly matches.
The Belgian is going to lead Bafana when they play against Andorra at the 19 May 1956 Stadium in Annaba, Algeria, on Thursday evening.
“We will play friendly matches, but it will be competitive with some of the best players on the African continent taking part. It will be a good preparation event for the World Cup qualifying matches. I will rely on several players and we will take the Andorra team seriously,” Broos said on Tuesday.
Five days after their clash against Andorra, Bafana are going to face Algeria at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Algiers.
Meanwhile, Broos has reacted to what Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena said about injuries to Bafana captain Ronwen Williams and midfielder Teboho Mokoena.
“If they are really injured, they have to inform us, not talk to the press. We have a doctor. They know the number of the doctor, so why not call us and say they are not able to come and give us a medical report? They didn’t do that, which means they are fit,” Broos said.
