The Nigerian Super Falcons defeated Banyana Banyana 1-0 in the first leg Olympic qualifier at the Mko Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Friday evening.
Veteran Banyana defender Noko Matlou gave away a penalty after she fouled Chinwendu Ihezuo inside the box. The penalty was converted by Super Falcons striker Rasheedat Busayo Ajibade four minutes before the half-time break.
Banyana are going to host the Super Falcons in the second leg at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Tuesday next week.
