It’s fight on as Japanese boxer Tomoki ‘El Mexicanito’ Kameda has agreed to face off against Lerato ‘Lights Out’ Dlamini in an International Boxing Federation (IBF) featherweight elimination bout.

The IBF ordered the two boxers to meet in an eliminator after Ukranian boxer Arnold Khegai withdrew from his fight against Dlamini, which was scheduled for Saturday, 13 July, in Johannesburg.

That Osaka-born Kameda has agreed to this very important rematch, which is likely to be held in Shiga, Japan, on Sunday, 28 July, was revealed by Dlamini’s trainer and manager Colin ‘Nomakanjani’ Nathan on Thursday.

The winner of this bout between Dlamini and Kameda is set to challenge for the IBF featherweight title currently held by Mexican boxer Luis Alberto Lopez Vargas.

Meanwhile, this is a rematch after Dlamini from Welkom in the Free State defeated Kameda on points when the duo clashed in a non-title bout in Japan in October last year.
