There’s nothing Boxing South Africa (BSA) board chairperson Sifiso Shongwe would love more than having regular engagements with licensees, especially boxers and hear them talking about themselves.
Shongwe said this following Sunday’s engagement between BSA and its licensees after the regulator had held a bosberaad in Muldersdrift.
“We would love to hear more from the boxers during our engagements. They must speak for themselves,” Shongwe said.
Shongwe added: “I would really love to have more engagements. Maybe quarterly, where we will create space for our licensees to talk to us as the board. We are here for all of them in taking the sport forward.”
Shongwe together with Dr Luvuyo Bayeni, Sakhiwe Sodo, Luxolo September, Romy Titus, Dr Koketjo Tsebe and Nande Mheshe were appointed to the BSA board by former Minister of Sport Zizi Kodwa in May. – Monwabisi Jimlongo
