Naturena-based Kaizer Chiefs confirmed the signing of Uruguayan midfielder Gaston Sirino in Saturday afternoon.
The 33-year-old Uruguayan has signed a two-year contract with Amakhosi after he was released by Mamelodi Sundowns.
“We have decided to add some experience to our team by bringing in Sirino. We know his quality and we believe he will help us this coming season and looking forward to him sharing his experience with our younger players,” said Amakhosi sporting director Kaizer Motaung Junior.
“Gaston’s ability to unlock a tight defence with his guile and craft will add an extra dimension to the team’s creativity and his attributes fit with our idea of how we want to play.”
Chiefs also announced the signing of defender Bongani Sam, who joined them from Orlando Pirates. The 26-year-old Sam signed a three-year contract with an option to renew for a year.
